Understanding individual needs is absolutely key in inclusive coaching. For me, it all starts with getting to know each participant on a personal level – learning about their unique challenges, whether that’s a disability, a specific learning need or something else entirely.
Everyone brings something different to the session, and it’s our job as coaches to adapt our approach to suit them. That means being flexible with our coaching style and not relying on a one-size-fits-all method.
What works for one person might not work for another, and that’s okay – the goal is to meet people where they are and support them in a way that makes them feel seen, understood and empowered.
